May 12 - 14: Hidden treasures & hidden junk

2009.05.12
May 12: Normally it's the Little Star who's got the camera action pointed at her, so when it her little friend's turn today her body language says it all - WTF?

May 13: I attended a "Google Book Settlement" and copyright seminar today at the State Library. Always one for exploring, I went to the top floor and clawed my way through the smokers on the terrace to suss out an aerial view of Northbridge. Found these heritage buildings tucked away behind a wall of modern buildings. What else is Perth hiding?

May 14 (part 1): Talk a walk into the city this afternoon to sign some paperwork, then walked back along the river on my way home. The water was mesmerising in the pre-twilight zone.

May 14 (part 2): There are small windows of opportunity to frame parts of the city so that you feel like you're a thousand miles away from the hustle and bustle.

May 14 (part 3): but look a bit closer and just beneath the surface are COLONIES of jellyfish. ughghghghghghghhghghghghgggg

------------------------

Had a chance to capture on camera the reality of the Swan River this week – it may be stunning to walk along, and exquisite to look across to the city, but lurking just below the surface is something completely hideous.
