August 17: Rather than throw out his old keyboard, the Gavstar gave it to the Little Star. She immediately began tapping away on it just like her daddy, and talking on the phone at the same time. Classic.

August 18: The Little Star doesn't get outside much (too wet and cold), but when she does every little thing comes under great scrutiny. So awesome to watch.

August 20: With the help of my Facebook friends, came up with this awesome sweet potato soup... Here's the Facebook entry: "OK, no red curry so used tom yum paste instead. Serendipity rocks! Herewith: "Serendipity Sweet Potato Soup". Saute chopped bacon with tom yum paste, add 10 roasted sweet potatoes, 2 cups vege stock, 1 tin coconut milk. Blend when soft and mushy. Sprinkle with roast almond slivers. Thanks for your input!"

August 21: Went for a walk this afternoon to the post office, and for some reason the Little Star insisted on bringing the xmas tinsel. Got the conversation flowing at the butcher's, anyway. I mean, who doesn't leave their house with their best glitter on?

Had a delightful few days watching the Little Star develop some new skills as a receptionist, explorer and sparkle-bringer. Also took advantage of Facebook and got some recipe ideas for the best soup I've ever made.
