August 22: We went to Gran and Gramps today to help instal a new dishwasher. The Little Star found a wonderful new way to tag along with the men on their walk to the shed.

August 23: Conducted a very intimate wedding this afternoon for a most beautiful couple. This type of wedding makes the job of "celebrant" 100% worthwhile.

August 24: On my walk today it felt like I was waking up - for the first time I noticed the flame trees coming out in flower. I'm so asleep during winter, it took me a while to become aware of the first hint of spring.

August 25: The ongoing eye tests for Boy Wonderful continue... each time he gets the pupil dilator juice, which he takes no end of delight in checking out.

August 26: This time when the Gavstar asked for help, I was on hand to give it to him... my job was to shovel all the sand on the inside of the cellar and shift it to the outside of the cellar. I lasted about 15 minutes.

In the 2.5 years I've been taking daily photos, the "Trolley Girl" photo is one of my favourites - not because of the quality or composition, but because of the subject.
