August 30: Yesterday's workshop was totally right-brain; today's is totally left-brain. Spent a few hours with a chemist learning the science of soap-making. It's more work than I could have imagined!

I'm starting to feel worn out as full-time carer to the Little Star. She is becoming more active and inquisitive each day and needs my constant attention. My hips are starting to ache 100% of the time, not just when I'm carrying her. And so it was with open arms and willingness that I went to two different workshops this weekend - one art class and one soap-making lesson. Both were delicious time-outs for mama.
