Sept 6 - 10: Shake a tail feather

2009.09.06
Sept 6: The detail in this peacock's tail is stunning... the tail was the longest I've ever seen - life on Rotto for this bird is obviously great!

Sept 7: Yesterday, the Little Star gave her daddy matching aprons for father's day. Hers is still a little too long for her, but I'm sure it won't be long before she's growing out of it!

Sept 8: While Brother Kev and the crew stayed on in Rottnest, Gavstar took the opportunity to pour the cellar floor. I caught him inscribing the floor with our names, for posterity.

Sept 9: Brother Kev is back, and keen to try the local Italian restaurant. Even though we left home in plenty of time to avoid the queues, by the time the kids drifted their way down the hill, we got caught up in the wait list.

Sept 10: I'm a bit of a geek at heart, so when I found this space-age bowl on my favourite geeky site I bought it for the Little Star. No matter which way she tips it, the bowl always stays upright. As she's at the stage where tipping her food bowl on her head is the funniest party trick ever, this bowl confused the heck out of her.

I've been to Rottnest Island maybe half a dozen times, but I never tire of it... took a day-trip there this week, and found a peacock with a huge tail, the size of which I've never seen. Also continued enjoying the company of Brother Kev and his crew, and keeping busy in general.
