Kimberly Crest Mansion

2007.11.18

The mansion is a three-story French chateau styled structure surrounded by terrraced Italian-styled gardens and encased by 31 acres of orange groves.

In 1906, Mr. and Mrs. John Alfred Kimberly, founder of the Kimberly, Clark Company, made it their permanent residence. Their daughter, Mary Kimberly Shirk, moved into the residence in 1920, and eventually willed the mansion to the city. The surrounding groves and gardens were purchased by the city in 1968. Both the gardens and the mansion are open to the public.
