In first Shot they cover a distance from a river (600 yeards) to temple by that way. They lay down in ground first, her hand will mark a point in ground, and she can walk up to that mark after standing. We call it "DANDI".

The 1st shot doesn't look to positive for the ladies...going thru dirty trashy water...curious as to why they have to go thru yucky water. #2 is a great shot..

Does it begin with #1 and go on to #2 or are these separate events? I agree #1 is a very disturbing tradition, but set off by other beautiful ones. Interesting culture, thanks for sharing.
