Do.you.have.any.tips.for.coping.with.the.difficult.aspects.of.being.a.traveller.in.south.africa? Or.even.what.is.difficult.apart.from.what.you.just.mentioned.? I.am.thinking.of.going.there.in.the.future..Because.of.the.racial.problems.and.the.crime.I.am.not.sure.whether.to.go.there.first.or.last.on.my.tour.through.Africa...What.do.you.think?

I totally agree, it makes absolutely no sense that there is still so much prejudice due to skin color. This is an amazing and touching photo. Especially the eyes.

South Africa is wonderful, but yes, it has so many historical problems, which are taking years to sort... This is a lovely shot; she is beautiful. I love how the kids in the background are looking sideways at the girl, who seems to have a reserved stare at your camera.

Well, I am not white (in fact I would be classed as yellow under crude colour categorisations). However, I have never faced any discrimination because of my colour, and I have lived and worked pretty successfully in many 'white' countries. I think the ultimate difference is how one conducts oneself with fellow men. The regular bully-type person can sense when another person is scared, nervous or hesitant, and uses that 'weakness' to intimidate. My advice: be brave, look brave –– to thy ownself be true. But back to your lovely composition –– it's exquisite! So much emotion in the posture and facial expression in these beautiful children. Thank you for sharing, and best regards.
