Don't really know what to say either... So I don't don't why I'm writing a comment at all!!! ;-) The last one is particularly sad.

The thing that is so heartbreaking in all three, for me, is that the partners no longer seem to see each other. They have each become like the furniture around them for the other -- and yet each face has its own longing for intimacy and/or recognition. If they could only see that!

first two remember me my childhood's summer holidays, that I use to spent in Croatia (every summer with family for 2 weeks in Cres, for 8 times)... the last one is emotional very strong. good work!

WOW, interesting set, and well done. The last shot is a very personal glimpse into someone's life. This makes marriage look not so appealing.... fortunately some are happier!

How interesting your subjects are. They are like essays - but pictures can convey so much that it is difficult to express in words. Thanks for sharing these thought-provoking pictures.

Bravo...great set...and remember me an old poem of a great venezuelan writer..."cuando tu te pongas vieja...cuando yo me ponga viejo...nos quedaran las manos y el silencio..."..."when you put yourself old… when I put myself old… we had left the hands and the silence"...more or less..sorry my english...

This is one of the best set I've seen on this blog! I love it. Very well done. The man on the first one is impressive. The lady on the 2nd, wow...the third one....don't know how to interpretate...

more impressively dramatic shots, though my daughter would say, "ew!" to #1 for sure and probably to #2..she doesn't care for senior citizens in Speedos.

three pictures - three life stories. I like the last one most. I guess it's just the moment - and they lived happily ever after:)

aren't words crap... Wonderful is what I want to say but that doesn't really cover it. I'd have to write 2000 page essay to do that. and ugh so oppressive, like the weight of a lifetime of old fashioned sundays, Makes me want to scream and RUUUUUUUNNN

#1 maybe the guy with the belly is a very loving father to 5 children? and a poet of exquisite italian short novels? maybe his wife is well known for her never tiring commitment to serve sick children in the hospital? #2 maybe the naked old man is a famous painter exhibiting in all major NYC galleries? and his younger wife a violinist in the NYC philharmonic orchestra? #3 maybe the man with the sport shoes was a olympic marathon runner 30 years ago? and his wife is dying of cancer? i really love your pictures, because they leave so many questions open. but i hate to see so many unimaginative comments on your blog. :-(

Excellent but the very funny - the guy's belly in the first and the very intimate nature of the last two are incredible. I can't imagine how you were able to get those.
