oh my... THAT discussion again... ;-) a short (and drenched by german beer) answer: neither the (quite erotic) bed room look nor the (completely disgusting) peter greenaway scene is art. both are just pics deprived of their context. which is what photography is best at; and which is what DIFFERS it from art; art is ALWAYS within context... or creating one. blogging doesn't. i know this is not a satisfactory answer, so please hit me back. i'm loving it.

Oh dear... meanings meanings meanings I love no one - I am less keen on no 2 not because it isnt a great picture but because of my squemishness about meat! especially in its raw state! Together though they represent a powerful and compelling set of 2 and I am grateful to you for, one again, setting the sensible creative boundaries that we should all aspire to!

Both of these are going into my favorites. They belong together. Very thought provoking. In classical art, nudity is a part of life. However nudity becomes desperation in the state of pornography. Art appeals to mind and the senses, pornograhy only appeals to the carnal instincts like a beast to flesh.
