once again, it's a telling post... this kind of shot makes people think many times and each time will produce a fresh and new philosophy...

despite all doubts you will make your choice. just...you really think we can help? I like 'sleepers' - #2 and 'portrait of a wife' (those pictures you posted in march) - #1. I like those pictures, but do not think those are your best and worth to be submitted. so just pick one - and win. and lady - you should categorize your pictures:)

thanks for the trip thru all your shots ... my fave portraits are Portrait of Wife #2; Grandfather; Marriage #2; Bus Portraits #1; Hotel Heroin #3; Township School #1 (my overall fave tho it is sentimental); Sleepers #2; Season of Sharks Day II #6; Island Girls #1...best of luck

Brian, Viz, 2005. Conventional portrait perhaps but real and stark and not contrived. Also, for some reason I love Vedrana and the portrait "The Morning After".

Cool shadow shot. I would definitely consider #1 on 07/20/08 the Island Girls. Also your shot of Kevin Doherty on 06/21/08. #1 on 04/09/08 of Bus Portraits is an amazing shot as well. Last one, the shot on 04/27/08 Township School has something very special about the girl's eyes and the dof. Good luck!

This IS a beautiful photo -- I particularly love how at the bottom of your dress the light shines through it -- even in the shadow!

This one is really beautiful and it makes me thinking, if a shadow is death, I think its the soul of a person.

that picture of the young lady in the bed with the old man sitting and staring into the cam... it's the first thing that comes to my mind when i look at your blog. it's powerful, desperate, dull and promising... everything a good portrait needs to have. good luck, btw. you deserve it.
