I've no comment on the deconstruction, but the first (the master) looks like a small detail painting done by Edward Hopper of Hieronymus Bosch's The Garden of Earthly Delights. Really. It does. Fascinating.

I like the deconstruction. It takes me back into the whole picture differently. And I'm with Donald on the Hopper/Bosch combination. Perhaps 'The End' is more Hogarth? Fantastic image.
