we're in our January deep-freeze here. This morning it's almost minus 30 degrees celsius with the wind chill, and there's very little wind. On my morning run yesterday, I got a bit of frost-bite burn on my face. It's going to hurt even more out there today. It's so cold that even electronic cameras shut down. My mp3 player, in my pocket, lasts about an hour. I like these days. They're a test. I like the crackling air. When it's this cold, it's usually bright and sunny, and there's nothing like feeling the sunshine on your face on these days. It's the kind of weather that I like to walk around in with my coat open.

I have no thoughts on the one shoe thing but I can relate to the frigid temps dae writes about. I live several hundred km south of of him but it was -12 C here this morning and supposed to be even colder (-20) tomorrow. I don't think we have any reason to fear global warming at this point. I'll always let a book kick my ass. If I don't like the first 50 pages I'll toss it aside with no regrets.

I look forward to seeing those pictures. Maybe the woman who left the shoe behind only has one leg. She only needed one of the shoes, so she threw the other away.

What a day.. it really sounds bad. I like rain when I'm inside and I have a really intereseting book, tea and a big shawl. =) The show was left by Cinderella, of course. And yes, you have to wash at least your teeth when you go to bed. ;)

Just swallow a bit of toothpaste, no need to wash your face. At least you are still taking lovely photos like this, i love the pink and the yellow and the condensation; the front seat of the bus is always good, like the back seat x

love how it looks like an oil painting. ONLY because I just saw this guy's work, his paintings look like PHOTOGRAPHS. Insane. http://www.robertobernardi.com/

if the book is boring, don't finish it - find a better one instead! : ) sounds like it was a crap kind of day - i think that needs lots of good wine or chocolate or ice cream...or maybe all three...and then a warm bed.

One shoe over a Cuckoo's nest, no wait that was Flew not shoe sorry. In life we have to take one step at a time. Each step sets us closer to our destiny. Love your shot BTW.
