George Steiner would have a field day here, but I think you're a little unfair - at least with T.J. Binyon, who writes rather well in my opinion. This is a rather sensual picture - but I've always been a sucker for women and books.

Cool! I think he's too deep. For god's sake, he was also a simple man. But when he wrote poetry, he could see everything from such a different point of view. Maybe you should read some of his works while reading his biography.. ;) By the way, you're not alone with it.. Last year I got his secret diary for my birthday but I haven't got the courage to read it even up to this very moment.. I have 2 copies of his most well-known portraits on my wall. His blue eyes tell a lot more.. Maybe it's the same with everyone. He has only never ending affairs. It's his secret.. ;)
