I'll Climb That Mountain

The whole way up I was thinking 'why?'. Why do people climb? My previous attempts were marked with mishaps. First time (1997) I was dangling off the cliff for 30 min, because I could not stretch my legs far enough, between the two last hooks... I was wearing skinny jeans and slippery shoes. No ropes, of course, pure balkan style. Macho. The guy I was climbing with was pretty patient, for the first 28 minutes anyhow, then he started shouting "give me your fucking hand", I said "this is no time and place for proposals... and by the way what do you think ... that we're in some bloody Indiana Jones movie" - well I did give him my hand, and he did pull me to safety. Of course me delaying, delayed everyone, night fell and we could not find the car in the forest. But we heard a lot of wolfs around. Fun fun fun.

The second time (2002) around I went on supposedly two hour walk, only to end up falling into the river twice, pitch black night, and deer jumping and barking like maniacs. Since then I have no guilt eating venison. Pretty good for a former vegetarian. When 8 hours later, I managed to find the car, I took all my soaking clothes off, standing in the middle of the road at 1 am, completely naked ... only for the bus (yes bus) full of american tourists to pass me by.

So third time (2009), I am climbing, and the whole way up I am thinking "Why, Dragana, why? Did you not have enough". Then the hale starts. It was really beating down. And I am asking myself "Why?", but I am still going on. And then I stumble upon this in the picture. I have not got a clue what is it, but some strange energy is coming from it. And I take the picture. And I know that for some reason I was supposed to see that. But I still do not know why.
