You are so very right about that, my friend. Sometimes it is difficult to carry yourself with dignity because so much more is at stake -- your life, your family, your friends, your beliefs. Fortunately, my experience in a 'colour' situation has been on a much more superficial level but -- even then, overcoming social mores and religious dictums have played some part in strengthening my resolve.
