I like the image of your feet never touching the ground -- but this is almost sounding like some twisted version of the hubris myths -- Phaethon or Icarus flying too close to the sun // a woman made to suffer for having too much fun with her friends? |

I just feed them and grow things they like to hang out in and nibble on. My back yard just got certified this year as a wildlife habitat by the National Wildlife Federation! I have a plaque on the garden wall and everything! |

the arguing sparrows are so funny
That's so funny you saw them as arguing. I went back and looked and can totally see why. Actually, the baby was asking for food, and the dad was putting it in her mouth. Hence the open waiting beak.

They're taken in Michigan on Lake Michigan... holding up your left hand, you get the "Michigan Mitten".... these are at about the end of your ring finger! In more technical terms, just north of the Platte River outlet.
