April 2007, I visited Boston on the east cost of the United States. The first couple of days of my six there were sunny and warm. Sadly, the rest of my holiday was spent dodging showers. I managed to visit this site twice. I returned on my last morning in the city to capture the view after my original pictures taken were dull and unexciting due to the overcast weather and light conditions. Glad I returned, though not perfect, the sunlight and cloud formations give this a little more impact. Always with photographs there is a story about what was happening at the time of taking the picture. Right behind me is a bridge that carries both motor traffic and subway trains. Whilst this scene looks serene it was definately not with thundering road traffic and trains blasting past my back!

I remember this from the summer of 1992, on a boat ride at night when the waterfront was lit up.
Two lovely images - I especially like the first. When I was there in 2000, the river was frozen solid and the wind chill was -35 so I think the weather you had was just fine!
