The highest point in the United Kingdom also happens to be in Scotland and part of the Nevis Range. Ben Nevis was not especially cold last Friday when I took these pictures, but the visibility was practically zero at the top.
Going up through a blanket of cloud, at the top it was a fog. This however, did lift and whilst I'm not over the moon with the shots I got, instead I happened across some quite atmospheric compositions and weather.
Please enlarge as some of the shots look better when you can see the detail.
Good set - I like #10 most. When I was there a few weeks ago it was like Margate on a bank holiday it was so crowded, so I gave it a miss. Looks like you were luckier.
No, didnt walk up - are you mad?! It was very quiet up there - few people at all - which was nice. Dont think the pics capture the scene perfectly, sadly.
