These shots were taken on the sly at Bullring shopping centre in Birmingham, England. I had heard that the management had taken exception to people photographing the building (at least on the inside) but it is an interesting place and one I spend a lot of time in.
The whole area in Birmingham has been redeveloped in recent years, and whilst I am not overly impressed with the transformation, it is better than the old markets and area that was demolished to make way for what we have now.
These pictures owe a debt to both MademoiselleE and Coops (both fellow photobloggers on here and live locally too) for inspiring me to do my own set - check their shots out too on their own blogs!
These pictures are from the "Selfridges" end of the Bullring area as this seems to have the more interesting features (even the decoration of the railings) and were snapped, while dodging security guards on a lunch hour recently!
You would think pictures of their shopping "mall" would only encourage more visitors - so by refusing people with their "copyright" stance is moronic! Having photographed grander, older, better, more historic buildings their behaviour is sad.
