St Philip and Shadow

Taken earlier today at the entrance to Birmingham Cathedral - and liked the way the sunlight played about the floor and lit up the spiral staircase.

Sadly, I did not notice the coffee cup discarded until I was resizing the image to post on photoblog....

.... there is always someone to throw rubbish somewhere and ruin even the most beautiful places.
