This odd looking building was designed to have everything that is usually hidden "within" a building actually placed on the outside to maxmise the space within the building.
Makes for a very futuristic and interesting looking building. As it is literally only a stones throw from a new sexy looking building - the Gherkin - it is a great area to compare the modern approach (good or bad) to architecture.
