Probably one of the most photographed train stations in the world, New York has Grand Central Station as a main terminus for travellers, but also offers, at least for me, a place to people watch, be transported to another time, and most importantly a great place to hang out with the camera.

These shots were taken on print film back in June 2001 and recently scanned.

It has been the location of many films - but those of note include The Fisher King where it was turned into a huge ballroom and Carlitos Way where a violent shootout takes place on that very esculator!

Yes, posting this did bring back memories, and Miriam you should remember me walking with you down 5th Ave to Grand Central in rush hour so I know how mad it is, and these pics were taken late near closing time so thats why they are so deserted - never fear Grand Central is still as manic and busy as it ever was!
