Laura Critchley

This evening I went to see Deacon Blue live in concert at the Symphony Hall in Birmingham.

Laura Critchley was the support act, and usually you often have to sit through some awful band before the main event takes place.

I often use this time to get a drink, look at the merchandise, nod off and generally daydream until the din finishes. Tonight however, I was caught right from the first song. If there is any justice, Laura will have a long career ahead of her. Check out her website at www.lauracritchley.com

She has most recently returned from America where she has been recording on the new Robbie Williams album. I wouldnt say Robbie is really exactly what she sounds like, more he is obviously interested in her vocal sound to supplement his own. It does prove that she has the right connections to be involved with Williams, and hopefully with the release of her album this week she can step out from behind other singers and have her own career.
