Here are some night time shots taken around the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC back in April 2006.
Almost as lovely as sitting on the steps with Abe contemplating life during a sunny day, is the buzz and excitement that is generated around this beautiful monument at night.
I suspect most visitors to Washington will only ever see this memorial in the day, but an evening visit is well worth the trip as the lighting is very effective.
