I had a very strange feeling when taking this photo. I was a small child when the Russians occupied my country in 1968, but until today , when I hear the Russian language I do not feel comfortable. So hearing these soldiers sing near the Charles bridge...well..I guess the times are changing....

lgnelson What an interesting comment on changing times. I love hearing different perspectives from other countries. Healing takes time, but scars sometimes remain as a reminder of what was.

GKorts has changed already Marie, but I believe that you Czechs have to deal hard with the past. I remember that I was sitting in that times 3 days in a tank 10 km behind your border waiting for war, which lucky wise did not happen.

girafferacing Great capture. I wonder if the singers were aware of the irony of their visit?

BwannaDon So very interesting. I can't quite imagine what it is really like to be occupied. Thankfully times have changed. I often wonder "Why can't we all just get along?"
