How to bake buchty

the breadmachine has done the hard work for me, now comes the fun part:)

our favorite filling is povidla - thick plum jam mixed with cinnamon, but you can use any marmalade you like, or poppy seeds mixed with sugar, or farmers cheese with sugar.

roll out the dough and cut into smaller pieces
|
put a teaspoon of the filling on the piece of dough
|
and pressing the edges of the dough together you will form buchta
|
stack them side by side into the baking pan
|
one more time - cut up the dough into smaller pieces
|
and fill them with your favorite filling
|
brush them with a little vegetable oil
|
while preheating the owen to 180 degrees Celsius let them rise
|
after 20 minutes
|
baked! (about 25 minutes)
|
|

I cannot think of a more typical Czech food then this. We bake buchty as a dessert , for breakfast or for dinner sometimes. Today it is very simple to prepare them, if you have a breadmachine it cannot get any easier:)
You will need :
250 ml milk
1 egg and 1 egg yolk
500g flour
80 g butter
80 g suggar
2 teaspoons yeast
Thats it. You put all ingredients into the breadmachine and prepare the dough.
