killing - I really did not know if I could come up with something but accidently we went for a trip today with my history lovers friends and visited the ossuary in Mělník (from 16th century).
It is In a crypt under the st.Peter´s church in Mělník .The crypt was originally intended to be a final resting place of the Bohemian princesses and queens who resided in Mělník at the time. However, an epidemic of the plague in the early 1520’s filled the small cemetery that surrounded the church and the crypt was pressed into service as an ossuary; a storage place for the older bones that were exhumed to make way for the new. |

A really interesting post Marie! I love the rush shot! Bothe the woman and train rushing by! The ossuary shot is very unique and interesting. Yes - another helping please! May I have extra almonds??

3 is very striking... The Black Death is estimated to have killed 30% – 60% of Europe's population... I read some intersting books about it years ago and it was very interesting and terrible to get to know some things... and finally I could understand some passages I didn't before... That image reminds me also of Pol Pot's crimes against humanity... It's very sad for me such image...
