For some reason I had this image in my mind - a decent girl does not go to a bar or restaurant for a date - a walk in a park is the right way to date.(Don´t ask me why LOL)
So we walked a lot :) Every day after work I was picked up and we walked through the Old Town and parks. Romantic? Well....it was October -cold and windy:)
We used to go for a walk every weekend - as a family, too. When our children were small, in a stroller, it was quite an expedition - to pack up everything (favorite toys, a snack , diapers and and and) and we went to parks and spend our afternoons walking and just playing.Later we had to plan something more elaborate - an exhibition, a tour through a castle , a museum , a zoo.
When the teen years and rolling eyes landed in our home , the family walks were reduced to a single walk a year - Christmas Day walk to the Prague castle and we had to find other ways how to make sure we still get together as a family (Hint - when mom is baking and cooking, there is a very high chance you get to actually see your children around:)
The walks today are reserved for the two of us again. And for my camera.:)
I guess I am lucky:)

as far as the saying...I guess I'm a decent girl for I much prefer a walk in the park than a stroll into a pub :-)) But I too reminisce about the things my kids and I used to do as a family...the walks, the get togethers for movie night and such...I found myself telling a young mother the other day to cherish her days with her baby boy, for the time will surely pass quickly...oh and cherish your time alone as well, because before you know it, the years will pass and you'll have some little ones calling you "grandma" :-)) This set is full of cheer and colour..especially the last one!
