Almond Poppy Seed Cake
2012.03.13
3 eggs
|
60ml milk
|
a dash of vanilla
|
slightly beaten
|
in a different bowl combine 1 1/2 cup of flour, 3/4 cup of sugar, 3 table spoons of poppy seeds, 1 teaspoon of baking powder
|
add 150 g of butter to the dry ingredients
|
beat with the hand mixer for a couple of seconds
|
add half of the egg mixture and beat again
|
after adding the the other half, add almonds
|
the batter looks like this after about 2 minutes
|
bake at 180 degrees celsius for about 40 minutes, cool.
Cover with butter-sugar- lemon icing and almonds |

oh my gosh lemon poppy seed cake is my fave so i'm betting i would love this almond poppy seed cake too!! i'll def be trying this one!
