Only Time...

Being inspired with Enya and her soundtrack song for Sweet November here is something from all seasons of the bygone year. The video glides as a zephyr through all seasons, and I am going to do the same.

It has been a pretty solid year.. many things happened in the world. But people do tend to forget such things quickly. It makes me feel stupid sometimes (e.g. the last thing I remeber really being interested in the news was the murder of the former pakistane prime minister Benazîr Butto; frankly I know very little of her politcs, but one must admit, she was a very, very beautiful woman and seeing how many people mourn over her, makes you think). The truth is, we remeber far better the things that influence our lives directly.

This very thing is the human factor of time...

And here it is again, time... both blessed and acursed by mortal men. People say time heals all wounds. I was watching House M.D. yesterday evening and amid the sarcasm, House gave an interesting answer to this old proverb time heals all wounds: things don't change, you have do do sth to change them. Surely, the accuracy or inaccuracy of either of this is a matter of personal taste. At the same time men fear the passing time; finding themselves in a river, whose flow they cannot stop or even slow down. It would be unwise to cease the flow of the river... there's a reason why this thing called time or life is not a lake.

However, men cannot have it both ways... and time does pass. And now a year has passed. A year of good journeys, films, photographs, a year of new meetings, new friends, new loves, if you're lucky. A now a time for New Year's resolutions has come, a time for reflection.
In the end, it is not so bad. Because whatever happened influenced us, and we have changed, in some peticular. We are full of new experiences, and ready for even more new ones. It is fun, and it is life. I hope you will have a good new year, an even better than the one that just passed; after all, they say that the even years are the lucky ones... I have a lot plans for this year... I'll keep you informed
