Suelen preguntarme dónde estudié fotografía y la respuesta es que en la calle. Mucha gente piensa que para ser fotógrafo hay que sentarse en un aula de la universidad y hablar sobre las fotos de otros. No es malo buscar inspiración en el trabajo de los demás, siempre y cuando sea sólo eso, porque puede impedirte entrar en acción y capturar imágenes tú mismo. No importa lo buena que sea tu base teórica y tus conocimientos técnicos, se aprende trabajando. La gente suele ver a fotógrafos de prensa cargados de cosas y asume que así consiguen disparos mejores. Gracias a los avances de la tecnología digital, a veces pasa lo contrario, a mí me sorprende tanto lo que consiguen los fotógrafos amateur, como los logros de los profesionales en sus trabajos. No importa lo que tienes, ¡importa de lo que eres capaz!
