This is the story about Elvanes Per and Inga
I talked with some people about the house were I found the old sewing machine.
Well I dont have all the years but Per and his wife got a girl they called Inga. Mum died early and Per raised his daughter alone. The place were the house lays is called Elvaneset because it lays down by the river. Its one of the coldest place in the whole valley. Well Per didn't like men come and courtesies his daughter. When they come to ask her out he shot after them with his shotgun! Loaded with salt but I bet it hurt when they got hit! Well years passed by and she lived there with her dad. He passed away and she stayed in this old house with no water and no isolation. On the coldest days she only get out of bed to put more wood in the stove. One of the men that was trying to ask her out as young returned when her dad died. Inga was then 70 years. He was around 77-78 but sweet love appeared and they got engaged. They married and she moved with him to a place called Vatne. A town around 15 minutes drive from here. He took her around Norway and Sweden and he showed her the world outside Elvaneset. They was married to his dead and Inga died in nursing home around 92-93 years old. So for all you out there that hasn't find love yet ....Its never to late and its out there waiting for you. I was so fascinated by this story. Theres many great stories in this little valley that had become my second home and I will find more of them for you.
