Nasone/Great nose

2008.10.14

The "fontanelles" are calls Nasoni that distribute free drinkable water and that they are found in the municipality of Rome. This name takes cue from the typical iron tap , whose form has recalled l' idea of a great nose. These Fontanas, typical of Rome, were installed for the first time in 1874, for initiative dell' then Rinazzi city council member, and was equipped of three bocchette to form of dragon head. Later on but, the " nasoni" of new installation they came realized with a simple smooth tube; for the rest, still today the model is always the same one, characterized from the typical advanced hole just for drink.
