There's a site I use to look up bird called whatbird.com but it's for North American birds. Maybe you can find a site like that. This is a cute little guy. Great colors.

This is a Common Sandpiper.. Go to google and type in Photos of Common Sandpipers.. great shot.. Nice bird post!!

In my opinion it's Curlew Sandpiper (Calidris ferruginea): quite long legs and neck, rather slim, characteristicly moulting from summer to winter plumage (on breast). As I understand photo were taken in Europe or North Africa? It's absolutely fantastic picture. Well done!
