The reason we came to Melbourne; Oz Comic Con. It was an interesting sensation to be one of the most normal people in a crowd of 50,000. We had a fun day but it was far too packed. More stalls would have been good but it was so crowded we weren't very comfortable stopping for more than a cursory look at anything before the constant bumping & pushing got too much & we moved along. We saw a Sean Maher (Firefly) panel, which was great, before heading off to spend the night with a friend in Fitzroy.
