This is the region left and right the upper Yellow River between the desert Gobi a the desert Taklamatan, in the north the border to inner mongolia and in the south where the Yellow River nearly makes a u-turn.

I liked 7,8,and 9 very much but was facinated with #1...a desert with snow from that perspective is interesting. It took me a while to realize it was snow.
