Sauerkraut once was a synonym for Germans and is still a beloved dish here. Here combined with Nuremberg sausages a Frankonian/Nuremberg national dish

Looks lovely. I find sauerkraut quite odd, I love the taste but don't like the smell. But I'm told that taste and smell are related, so how can that be?
