Third Anniversary

3 Years on photoblog. A biography
When I entered the PB world I lived and worked in Romania already for nearly 3 years and I would call this country The Milestone in my photographic life. Not only that I started there with digital photography but I was also lucky to meet Mihai Moiceanu, one of the best photographers of Romania who taught me a lot during his workshops especially about landscape shooting. From him I learnt that sunrise shooting requires to be sur place long before it happens and that the best motifs don´t come to you but you have to go there. So we did and walked a lot in the transsylvanian mountain. Thanks Mihai I owe you a lot.
In April 2009 I had to go back to Germany and surprisingly with my new skills and the will to go to the motifs I could live also there a satisfying photographic life. It helped a lot that during the following 18 month I travelled that much that sometimes when I woke up during the night (most elderly men have to do that) I did not know where I was. Since that times I own some scars more on my head. I saw Ghana, Malta, Lithuania, Turkey, Egypt, Belgium, Georgia, Russia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Moldova and some more but to name them I have to dig my archive.
A bit longer than PB I know my beloved Julia an I still guess that she loved my pictures first and then me. So thanks to PB for that too. In September 2010 we legalized our distant relationship and one month later we started our still lasting honeymoon in Georgia. 6758 photos later I am writing this text.
What can my PB friends expect from this mysterious year 2012 which we hopefully all will accomplish. First I would like to explore Armenia a bit and as it is 2012 here closes a circle we will go for a photo tour with my friend Mihai to Nepal in October. Until that I hope you will enjoy my Caucasus pics, bear my sometimes weird and twisted mind.

Dear Noah, Thanks for the story, don't get drunk and may you live to 950 (again). @ Gerd: your story, like so many of your pictures, is moving, rich, fascinating and rather funny. My PB experience would be much, much poorer without your presence. Thank you and happy anniversary.

A wolf moon! Have you grown hair on the palms of your hands, have your teeth gone all pointy, and have you developed a liking for very rare meat! Scary! but very beautiful, congratulations of your third aniversary, I have enjoyed your photos and sense of humour the short time I have been your friend on PB... Keep up the good work Noah!
