We went down to the park by the Rideau River to check out the ravages of the flood a couple of weeks earlier. The park was dry and what my daughter calls "The Tree of LIfe" was starting to pop.

A small memorial to a young student whose body was pulled from river at this spot. It opened the whole issue of the right to privacy of the student vs the right of the parent to know their child was deeply floundering.
