Today, since the weather was lovely, Mom and Dad decided to go fishing...Well,since I've been minding my manners so well lately, they took me with them so I could go for my first REAL swimming trip. Sure, I've been to ponds and stuff, but this was the real deal. I don't have my life vest yet, but Mom went in the water with me. She used to be a life guard, so if I needed rescueing, she'd save me. Besides, I swim like a fish!!
Turns out, some dogs were loose at the lake, so Mom had to keep me on my leash anyways. Those meanies chased after us and Mom had to back them off with a big net. Yeah, I'm a big dog who lets my Mommy fight my battles...SO?
Anyways, it was a blast, whether or not I got to go swimming off the leash or not. I have to admit, Mom holding my leash was kind of a bummer - I couldn't really get a good swim going...but the cool water felt great on my hot belly!!
