Fire at the Outback Building

first and foremost, thank you to everyone who visited my blog and now visits my blog due to the Digg! I don't know who dugg it, but thank you, soooo so very much. I'm in complete shock right now!

Ok, so down to business.

As i was in the shower after work today, I got a phone call that the Outback building next to the Bell Tower was on fire. So i hauled ass out there with suds still in my hair, only to discover it was the building behind it, not the actual Outback (can i get a sigh of relief people?) and that it had been burning for about two hours when i got there. Unfortunately that means that the good stuff was about over when I arrived as well.

The TV news media made their expected presence, and as usual they were all douche-bags, except for the guys in one unmarked van, maybe the were WINK-5? Haha, wouldn't that be some great irony, eh?

So...i tried to snap pics, but my batteries went flat after about 50 shots, and that was with both my long and short lens on manual focus. I loaned my equipment out earlier today and i hadn't had a chance to charge my shit up, stupid me.
