F100 and the First Roll Of Film
quite a bit's been going on.
i got my F100 body in the mail today. this should hopefully be the last film camera that i'll ever need to buy for a very long time. I decided to spring and get it because i was so disappointed with the N80. The autofocus, compatibility and handling are much much better. Oh, and yes, i like the increased weight.
I've been working like a madman at work, which should hopefully pay off.
And an interesting tidbit. Tonight while i was at the mall with Dayle (i seem to be spending more time there than ever before, bleh.) i noticed Christiala, who interened at the News-Press with me over the summer do ing a powerwalk though the mall. So I called her and i was like, "Stop walking and turn around!"
We caught up, which was nice. I never expted to see her in the Fort anytime soon, especially with her being from Miami but apparently she's doing freelance work for the News-Press for this week only. So i'll have to keep my eyes peeled for her stuff.
Either way, we made plans to catch a flick and hang out with the other interns from the summer who are in town tomorrow night, and i can't wait!
Friday is a busy one as well....i'm working at Ritz, and then i've got a small concert to photog at 8 with some friends and then i've got a bonfire that most of my friends will be going to at 8 as well, on the other side of the county! so this should be pretty interesing for the next few days.
ah, and speaking of getting new things, santa has started to come a little bit early...we got a 37" LCD HD tv on monday and tonight my parents brought home a 62" DLP behemoth of an HDTV. Wiring and debugging those suckers is oh-so-fun especially when you're trying to get it through an existing 7.1 surroudn sound system. (here's a tip: once digital, always digital. so HDMI can't be ouput on anything else!) oh. and i'm going to the dentist tomorrow morning, fuuuun.
all shots are 50mm f/1.8 nikkor and Superia 400 color neg except for the the last five, which are RAW from my D70 (the usual)
