dinner with lindsay

tonight i went to dinner with lindsay, down in one of the cafeterias called "fresh market." For those who don't remember, lindsay is the girl who i met on the airplane two years ago, and became friends with.

while we ate, she let me know that her mother wanted me to have the house number, where i could get in contact with her if i needed anything, since i'm far away from home, which is extremely nice of them. I'm really grateful that they've kind of taken me under their wing as a part of the family too.

so of course, i put her in my phone under "Kentucky Momma"

she really doesn't like having her photos taken. (maybe she forgot that i have a camera on me at all times, haha) all of these were taken with the little point and shoot i picked up on sunday! It's a Nikon L3, small enough to fit in my pocket for parties, but 5.1mp so i can still make enlargements of all the drunken antics! (not)

in other news, today was also the first day of classes, for which i was pretty nervous. Media and Society, which is my first journalism class ever, wasn't bad at all...but then again i really didn't know what to expect. College Algebra on the other hand was a huge sigh of relief! Math has always been easy for me up until a few years ago, and i haven't taken a math class since, so i was worried as to what the difficulty of the class would be, but the material is presented in exactly the same way as it was in IB Math, so i'm not worried about it at all in the least bit.

I really hope the rest of my classes are like this. Tomorrow (tuesday), i've got nothing going on all day, which is exciting because i can do some reading for media and society that was assigned. What i'm really waiting for is Basic photo for journalism on thursday...i want to know what that's going to be like.
