so tonight Kristen invited me to a barbeque that the International Club was holding at their house tonight, and of course i went.
duh.
apparently the International Club is an association that holds together all of the students who are here from other countries for study, which is pretty damn cool in itself. so we had burgers, hot dogs, chips and grilled all in something like 20 degree weather, it was great.
the people are all nice, in fact much nicer than almost everyone outside of Kristen and Meredith's group of friends and the guys on my floor. i mean, at least they will talk to someone they don't know rather than walk away or hold some stupid converstaion about majors and then walk away...or even better are the people who genuinely try to hold a conversation, but can only seem to talk about one thing....religion.
seriously, it kills me beyond anything you all can imagine. it seems that the people's interests extend not far beyond their own beliefs.
and trust me, that's pretty sucky.
~~~~
anyways.
it was a good time, after the barbeque a group of us went to a swank little mom and pop coffee-shop downtown and sat there talking for about two hours.
i made a lot of good friends, and it was nice. also, i joined the international club because i genuinely like the people in it and i like what they're doing.
so yeah.
the first photo is at the bbq, the last one is at the coffee shop, and for kicks i'm the guy making the face in the second to last photo and Kristen is the brunette in the periwinkle shirt with the canon around her neck. :D
