Images are from Powershift 2007 protests in front of the capitol in Washington DC and of an unofficial protest against Citibank for their involvement in funding "dirty" coal energy that pollutes the atmosphere.

Some of you may be wondering about the cross in the 7th image and how it relates to the set.
Powershift was a conference of university students concerned with global climate change. Most of the attendees were extremely liberal, but some of the seminars were held inside of a Lutheran church's sunday school room...so a bit of irony there especially when you consider the not so subtle message that the conservative, religious right-wing is responsible for some of the less 'earth-friendly' legislature out there today.
now, if you'll excuse me i've got a 10am class and it's way too late to be up fiddling with photos.
