My Bike

So i haven't updated in a while, sorry guys. I guess if it makes anything better i haven't really been shooting either, so we'll call it an all around slacking.

in other news, money's tight, and with the price of everything rising it doesn't look like things are going to get any better. gas however, is the worst. the absolute worst.

my car ('01 passat) gets pretty decent gas millage (24 mpg city) and i can get away with filling it up ever two weeks or so, even driving it ever day to school or work but lately i just don't have enough to cover gas, so i've been biking it.

really though, the bike isn't as bad as it seems.

my original bike was stolen from the library at school back in march, so i've been riding helen's bike around and really i kind of like it. i'm almost thinking of giving my car to my parents for them to use and going bike only. there's just something about riding through the cool night air across town on my way home from work. besides, i'm pretty sure that because it takes me about twice as long to get anywhere on bike as it does by car i might actually start being on time as i'll have to plan out when to leave to get there.

i guess i'm pretty lucky to live in a particularly bike friendly town.

the only major bummer is showing up everywhere looking like i bathe in my own sweat, but that's florida for you.

maybe if there's enough left over when i get paid on thursday i can go home this weekend...
