In case anyone out there was wondering, this is what it looks like when your digital camera finally hits the big darkroom in the sky.
images like this mean the imager, which is the actual computer chip that takes the photo (eyes if you will), has died...and there's no going back from it.
usually what you'll see is purple or white "fuzz" or streaks that flicker, and that's it.

i see a lot of these come in on older canon point and shoot cameras (>5 years old) due to a manufacturing issue they had with sony that resulted int hem recieving faulty chips for a couple of years.
sucks having to tell people their 2 magic pickle (megapixel, get it?) canon is shot.
