I can't express just how much this tragedy has hit me. I keep thinking of the faces of my little kindergarten students and the silly things they say to make me laugh and just how excited they are at the thought of Santa. I have no doubt that Sandy Hook's students were just as excited in anticipation of the holiday. But those students won't get to celebrate and their families are left broken hearted.
I know if it happened there, it could happen anywhere. This last week of school I know my students are going to be bouncing off of the walls in excitement. But you know what? Its okay, I am just thankful they are alive and here to do that.
