These little guys were freaky. As you can see the "tail end" of the dragonflies bodies were attached to the top of a second one's head. Were they mating?!

There were hundreds of these same dragonflies all down the river. I had so many photos I wanted to capture but just couldn't get close enough and steady enough for them to turn out. At least these guys stopped on the front of the kayak and sat for a while.
